On The Corner

When I think of a corner store, I think of Sherelli’s, once a neighborhood corner store in South Burnaby. Cigarettes, lotto tickets, and candy bars were really the only things that were bought at Sherelli’s. Its big baby blue walls and faded red signs were an icon in the neighborhood, and now it’s gone. It was recently torn down and two duplex houses have been built on the property. Every time I drive by that corner I miss the sight of that old store front. On the Corner, is a series of photos of corner store fronts
